Hug Chair
A unique uni-body circular structure connects both seats together allowing two people to sit face-to-face and thus creating an immediate intimate interaction. Through this physical connection, you feel socially and emotionally connected with the person sitting on the opposite side. The upper “half-pipe” which bends above the heads creates a highway of thoughts and a chain of emotions. In this way you are interconnected within the same circle and the focus is always on the other person, exactly what a hug is about. The chair’s face-to-face interaction allows you to instantly break away from the crowd.

The exceptional shape and the amazing acoustics of the Hug Chair creates, even in large and crowded rooms or halls, an immediate, safe and intimate ambience for those who desire space for a private moment.
The Hug Chair’s remarkable aesthetics make it a desired item. People are not simply buying a chair. They are buying a statement where design and intimacy come together.

The Hug Chair is handcrafted and available in three versions: - White Lacquer, - Black Lacquer and Walnut Wood. The Black and White version is more contemporary and the Walnut Wood is more of classic style. All editions are upholstered with top quality real leather and the color of the leather can be chosen to be any shade you wish. The chair stands on a stainless-steel base that can fully rotate.

Hug Chair
Gabriella Asztalos of Hungarian origin grew up and studied all over Europe. Before her design studies, Gabriella was a professional classical ballet dancer. This experience gave her the advantage of knowing exactly how to express emotions, feelings or a state of mind through body forms, shapes, and movements.

Her first, multi-award winning design, the Hug Chair also emerged from an expressive human movement - the "Hug".
With this design Gabriella won the ICFF New York Design Award 2011 and IFFS International Furniture Design Award Singapore 2011. These awards brought her great interest in her designs.

She founded her design studio, which is based in Barcelona with global exposure and costumers.
Although Asztalos Design Studio is still a fairly young company, it has been already exhibiting its designs at the most notable international trade shows (Paris, New York, Amsterdam, Singapore…etc.) and its designs have been published in the most prestigious design/interior magazines worldwide.
